The AIRDRIVE DESIGN is the new construction concept developed to improve fixed-spool reels by optimizing their lightness, smoothness and reducing their rotational inertia without compromising their strength. It is based on the redesign of the reels’ pivotal components:
AIRDRIVE ROTOR
The new AIRDRIVE ROTOR with a design aimed at reducing rotational inertia maintains solidity and strength while weighing less than its predecessor Air Rotor, thanks to significant structural improvements.
AIRDRIVE SPOOL
The AIRDRIVE SPOOL reel is optimized in terms of weight and functionality by improving its swing. The anti-wire kink deflector and revised clicker mechanism help improve the user experience.
AIRDRIVE BAIL
The AIRDIRVE BAIL headband is thinner, lighter and yet more durable than its predecessor. Its inclination has been revised so as to improve the flow of the thread to the thread guide roller.
BODY
MONOCOQUE BODY
MONOCOQUE BODY technology gives the reel extreme structural rigidity and increased stress resistance. The one-piece body also makes it possible to accommodate a larger control wheel, improving rotation and power transmission. The MQ concept also allows for increased resistance to dirt and saltiness while increasing durability.
TOUGH DIGIGEAR
With TOUGH DIGIGEAR technology, the gears have been enlarged compared to the renowned Digigear, now ensuring improved performance in terms of reliability and long-term durability.
MAGSEALED BODY
MAGSEALED technology is a special magnetized oil membrane seals the sprocket outlet from the body, preventing water from entering the body. The absence of water and dust inside the body preserves the mechanisms from corrosion hazards, extending the life of the reel. On the BALLISTIC HD, the system is applied to benefit the body, preserving the smoothness of rotation, reducing friction, and enhancing the pleasure of fishing.
