CERTATE SW is the spinning reel for big game: full metal monocoque body, Power Drive Design and Magsealed for maximum reliability. Powerful, fluid and durable, it provides absolute control even over large predators.

MAGSEALED BODY

Ultimate protection is delivered to the engine room of the reel with a magnetised oil seal located on the main shaft of the reel’s rotor shutting the door to the elements and unwanted intruders. Dust, water, and salt intrusion into the inner workings of a reel are a thing of the past with MagSeal.

MAGSEALED LINE ROLLER

One of the hardest working and exposed areas of a spin reel is provided with ultimate protection with a MagSealed line roller bearing shutting out the elements for optimum line roller protection, performance and longevity.

MONOCOQUE (MQ)

MQ Body takes reel design to the next level. The MQ system does not require a body cover, instead using an engine plate to screw directly to the body. Eliminating the need for screws to hold a body cover in place. MQ body improves the strength of the reel, it also improves the water-resistance of the body and allows a larger diameter drive gear to be installed.

Designed and built for ultimate strength and durability, the Oversized Power Digigear features a larger diameter and thicker profile for enhanced performance. Precisely engineered gear teeth improve drive efficiency, while minimal gear deflection ensures stable and consistent meshing. This reduces power loss and delivers smooth, powerful, and effortless winding performance.

The next generation of large spinning reels have been designed in pursuit of powerful reliability, enabling anglers to target the largest fish around the world. POWERDRIVE DESIGN consists of two technology units: the body unit “POWERDRIVE ENGINE” and the rotor unit “POWERDRIVE ROTOR”, a spherical rotor shape that achieves both high rigidity and low inertia.

Daiwa's Automatic Tournament Drag uses an improved drag grease that exhibits a low viscosity at rest, yet becomes more viscous immediately after drag start up. This reduces initial drag start-up inertia and combined with the structural changes of the ATD Drag System results in a smoother drag from the initial hook up.

The POWERDRIVE ENGINE within the reel sports a larger and thicker POWERDRIVE DIGIGEAR to increase power transfer and durability.  

The POWERDRIVE ROTOR ensures that each turn of the handle translates into a smoother, more powerful retrieve, even under extreme pressure.
